Founded by Charlotte Guy, AURUM offers high quality, locally made products for the home. Charlotte is a practicing architect by day and product designer by night. Using her design skills to explore different mediums and discover new creative processes. Born and raised in Bendigo, rural Victoria has always been a place that provides Charlotte with inspriation and the space to develop her ideas. AURUM manufactures all products locally where the quality of each piece can be assured.

OUR PHILOSOPHY:

Gold (aurum) was discovered in Bendigo in 1851 and was largely responsible for shaping the city into what it is today. Precious metals, like gold, are nurtured by humans; worn, displayed and celebrated. With their resistance to corrosion, their luster and scarcity they are highly valued. Gold takes billions of years and many natural processes to form and surface, showing us that creating something we value takes time; the process is slow. Reacting to fast fashion and consumerism, the philosophy at AURUM is to create forever pieces, treasured like gold. AURUM products are designed to stay with you throughout your life and positively contribute to your shared and personal experiences in the home. They represent stability and permanence in a time of increasing change and development. AURUM encourages us to slow down and immerse ourselves in the act of burning a candle or enjoying the aroma of incense. The name AURUM links our products not only geographically to where they are made, but philosophically to what they represent.
